Clayton's Baby

Pretty soon after we moved to North Carolina, Clayton sold his moped. Clayton had this basically all of college and we rode on it every day. When we moved to North Carolina, where we live isn't a great spot for a scooter (high speed limits all around us) so without much thought Clayton sold it and got us ebikes. I was very excited for this purchase, just as excited as I was for the scooter. But Clayton soon started to realize the bikes didn't give him the same fix as riding his scooter did. This immediately started Clayton's search for a motorcycle.

Now at first I definitely was not on board with the motorcycle. Even though we didn't ride the ebikes unless we were going to the beach, I didn't see a need. But Clayton made sure to convince me otherwise. Once Clayton found a good deal, we went and picked it up. I told Clayton I was on board, but secretly I was a little unsure of the purchase. But then we went on a ride together and I instantly agreed.

My reason for loving the motorcycle is most definitely different than Clayton's. Every time I go on a ride with him it takes me right back to college when we would ride around on his scooter in our own little world. I forgot how free it felt back then just to be able to go wherever I wanted whenever.

I love how things like this bring us closer, and I want that closeness to last forever. I'm not sure if we'll have this specific bike forever, but we'll always have something for sure.
