Plan the Vacay
If you know me and Clayton, you know we love traveling. We are always talking about where we want to go and when we can make it happen. Since we've moved to North Carolina, it's been way more realistic for us to plan trips which is amazing! Daydreaming about travel is definitely something that keeps our heads up each day during the winter. I'm so excited about our upcoming plans so I thought I'd share!
December:
- 5 days in Texas visiting Clayton's family for Christmas
- 6 days in Washington visiting my family for Christmas
January:
- 4 days in DC
April:
- Family vacation somewhere! Possibly California
October:
- A cruise! Hoping for the Bahamas
And knowing us, we'll fit in a spontaneous weekend trip in there somewhere because there is still so much east coast we've never been to. Also, lets see if we can fit a Europe trip in!
As most of you know, my track system for work gives me 3 weeks off in January, April, July, and October. And you know I am making the most out of having all this time off. Having things to look forward to is necessary for my brain. It helps me enjoy the present because I know exciting things are coming.
Clayton and I are both naturally very frugal in our everyday spending, so we're trying to get better at balancing our finances so that we are saving but also spending! This is very difficult for us, as our next big purchases we're planning for are a house, car, and a baby... So wish us luck, and tell me if there are any places we need to add to our travel list! I bet I can convince Clayton to add it to the list.
